The millpond project was an existing pond hidden in the middle of the House on the Rock complex of buildings. It had the mill wheel already, but nothing was functioning when we got there. The real trick with this pond was not being able to use any large equipment to get stone, gravel and rubber into the pond. We had to bring the supplies in through one of the buildings. We lined the pond with rubber and rock in a similar fashion to most of our ponds and installed a wet well intake and a wetland filter. Once these were in we focused on getting the water wheel to turn the way it should and then we loaded it up with a bunch of aquatic plants.
